GT Breaker Control Switch(BCS) is used to operate circuit breakers in a power circuit and in applications where frequent operations are required.BCS as it is popularly called is supplied with different combinations of contacts starting with basic configuration, 1 NO 1 NC.

GT Breaker Control Switch has three positions of switching namely TRIP,NEUTRAL & CLOSE.The handle comes back to the "NEUTRAL" position after making momentary contact on either side namely "TRIP & CLOSE".This is made possible by the spring return mechanism.Thus BCS is essentially a spring return switch.BCS also incorporates sequence lock and lost motion device(LMD).
